Haldon Belvedere In Exeter
An idilyc castle wedding venue for your special day. And for your wedding reception the Cridford Inn is only 2 miles away.
This much sought after civil weddings and short breaks holiday venue in Devon is perched high on Haldon Hill and stands in 5 acres of woodland in the heart of the lovely Devonshire countryside some 6 miles from the cathedral city of Exeter. From its vantage-point, panoramic views extending to Dartmoor, Exmoor, the South Hams, the River Exe valley and its estuary can be seen. On a really clear day, the Isles of Purbeck and Portland Bill in Dorset are visible and some say even Wales.
Haldon Belvedere, also known as Lawrence Castle, is a Grade II* listed triangular tower, originally built in 1788 by Sir Robert Palk as the centre piece to his vast estates and dedicated to the memory of Major-General Stringer Lawrence the founder of the Indian army.

Dear Tracey,
A really big thank you for the way in which you hosted the P.D.G.'s Lunch on Sunday 21st November. Everything went so smoothly and efficiently. I cannot thank you enough for so effortlessly sorting out the one meal mistake I made. This was so important as they can be a difficult couple. There has been universal praise for the quality of the food served - please pass on our thanks and congratulations to Ian and his team in the kitchen.
Also I would be grateful if you could pass on my appreciation to all your waitresses. They were attentive without being intrusive and willingly responded to any request all with big smiles. If only all restaurants could have such staff.
Without doubt the location, service, attention to detail and the excellent food made this one of the best occasions this group has experienced.

We just wanted to send a message to compliment the chef and staff at the restaurant who transformed what we thought would be a regular pub lunch, to a unique dining experience, that we shall not forget. Living in a city such as London, and having travelled much in the past, we have enjoyed some great meals at various restaurants, but I really feel that the Vanilla Pod restaurant was something special. The freshness and quality of the food was apparent with each morsel, and words simply cannot describe how tasty the meal was. "I'll be sending an official thank you card to you and your team shortly, but I wanted to get a thanks to you sooner than the post. I am so grateful to you for all your organisation before the day, and to Jaz and the team for their amazing work on the day. Everything ran perfectly, everybody was so impressed with the quality of the food, and speaking as an events organiser I was super impressed with the speed of getting it out on the table and that everyone received the right meal with no questions! Really very good. Many of the guests said they would be coming out to you again, so I hope they do! I think Seb and I definately will! The only downside was the fact that my dress had a zipped corset so I could literally only eat half of my main! Which is most unlike me and we will have to see to that on our next visit by eating as much as possible. Please do pass on my sincerest thanks to Jaz and everyone else working on the day, it was just perfect."
